Reservations are limited to current students and employees. Reservations are limited to two hours per student/group and cannot be made more than one week in advance. Reservations are held for ten minutes after the reservation or will be cancelled if demand warrants. Unreserved rooms are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Visitors eligible for library borrowing privileges may use the rooms on a space-available basis for one hour, with one renewal. Rooms are to be used for group study (two or more persons). Rooms are not to be left empty while reserved.
The Learning Common's Code of Conduct is applicable in the study rooms. Please alert staff on the first floor if the study room is not clean when you enter it or if you are disturbed by the conduct of others nearby. Rooms are for group academic activity and are not to be used for personal storage, sleeping, dining or other social activities suited for the Campus Center. Sufficient lighting and visibility for library staff to monitor study room activity must be maintained.
A violation of policies described above will result in loss of study room privileges and possible disciplinary referral. Library staff have the right to enter a reserved group study room to verify compliance with library and college policies.
Public spaces in the building are color-coded to indicate the level of noise acceptable. Choose from red zones (silent study), yellow zones (quiet study), and green zones (group study). Details and a map showing the zones are available online.
